Going from 5 – 15 days to under 5 hours for first offer received

OlympusTech, a reseller delivering IT transformation to businesses, first engaged Bench in September 2017 in an effort to scale their team quickly. Business demand was high, and with recruitment agencies taking as long as 5 to 15 days, OlympusTech was after a faster solution.

Two team members were invited to the Bench marketplace to broadcast opportunities, and offers from suitable candidates within the Bench network started coming through within hours. OlympusTech secured a couple of bookings through Bench, and with this new found confidence continued to use the platform to source capabilities. Over time, their average time to receiving an offer sat at just under 5 hours, with over 80+ offers through the platform.

Freeing up 35% of the team to pursue new business opportunities

The shift to resourcing through Bench not only saw a drop in time to accessing skills but also a reduction in recruitment costs. OlympusTech previously paid a 20% margin on new contractor hires, which dropped to 5% through the platform, allowing them to re-invest the cost savings back into the business. For a single resource contracted for a 6 month period this was a saving of $15k for the business.

Within 7 months of trialling Bench and seeing the benefits of the platform when engaging new partners and contractors, OlympusTech was eager to build their own marketplace in order to bring the automation and efficiency to their own existing networks by onboarding them onto the platform. The Bench team providing extensive support during the rollout, ensuring OlympusTech employees had adequate training to minimise any disruptions to the business.

OlympusTech began leveraging the Bench platform to its full potential, using it a sales channel to find new partners and more opportunities. This led to their most recent partnership with Westcon-Comstor, a leading Australian IT distributor.

When generating new business opportunities, their average time to put forward offers was 19 minutes for contracts with an average length of 6 months.
